Fast Side-Mounted TEM CCD Camera

The Megaview G2 is the second generation of Olympus Soft Imaging Solutions high resolution and high speed read-out side-mounted TEM CCD camera system. It is part of the companys G2 series, a new TEM camera line-up. This lens-optically coupled 14-bit camera offers a well-comprehensive concept composed of the latest in electronics, optics, design and functionality. The system is equally convincing users in the bio-medical, life sciences, and materials science. It consists of a high yield phosphor screen, a prism to reflect the image onto the CCD sensor, as well as housing and flange specific to almost all TEM. The rigid coupled phosphor screen-lens-scintillator-CCD combination provides optimum conditions for an artifact-free shading correction. This single port design is important for obtaining reproducible shading images. The positioning of the phosphor screen inside the TEM is pneumatically driven. X-Ray safety is guaranteed up to 200 KeV by the camera housing
