Forked and angled light barriers

Through-beam sensors offer clear advantages

Through-beam sensors are unbeatable, especially in terms of reliability and accuracy. However, installation and configuration are often complex and time-consuming. Forked and angled light barriers from Balluff do not have these disadvantages, as the transmitter and receiver are stored inside a common housing and are perfectly aligned with one another. For users, this offers many advantages.

First, only a single electrical connection and just one cable connection are needed. Also, the complete device can be quickly installed without the need for time-consuming adjustment of the transmitter and receiver. Balluff forked and angled light barriers come in red light as well as infrared and laser light models. A large selection of switching distances is also guaranteed, with all standard sizes from the 5-mm-wide mini fork to the largest model with a width of 220 mm. In 90°-angle devices, side lengths range from 40 mm to 110 mm.

Forked and angled light barriers are especially suitable for use in installation and handling technology. However, with several special models, the range of applications is virtually limitless. Balluff also offers models for detecting transparent objects, as well as devices for detecting fluids that contain water or with similar output.
