At ANALYTICA 2010, company Andreas Hettich GmbH & Co.KG, known for its wide range of laboratory centrifuges presented a centrifuge model especially interesting for users who work with special tubes.
In addition to commonly used centrifuge tubes (with volumes of 1.5 to 290 ml) for applications in preparatory and analytical chemistry, new centrifuge model ROTOFIX 46 accommodates ASTM tubes (for applications in petrochemistry), chrome bath tubes (for applications in electroplating shops) and Schlenk tubes (for applications in organic and inorganic chemistry). Suitable carriers and adapters for additional non-standard tubes can be customised on request. The centrifuge is available in a standard version or with heating up to 70 °C.
Both model variants feature10 programmable memories and are quick and easy to operate. The parameters – RPM (speed), RCF, running time, run up time, run down time and temperature (with the heating version) - are selected with the SELECT key. An adjusting knob is used to set the values, and the settings are stored by pressing the Start/Impulse key.
