Ti Total Integration for Live Cell Imaging

With todays live cell imaging research demanding inverted microscopy systems of the highest specification, Nikon has the ultimate solution the Ti series.

Three models are available (Ti-E, Ti-U and Ti-S) offering a complete platform for a variety of applications, uniquely combining TIRF, confocal, fluorescence and Nikons patented Perfect Focus System (PFS) modalities in one integrated unit.

The fully motorized Ti-E model is the first inverted microscope system to incorporate optical switching technology. All components are controlled through a central hub in the microscope, significantly enhancing the speed of operation. The addition of a back port provides simultaneous imaging capabilities for dual camera configurations; essential for rapid cellular events such as FRET and the capture of rapid dynamic cellular events using calcium or other ion-targeted probes, ratio probes and dual emission ratiometric dyes.

The systems flexible and modular stratum structure will help users to meet the demands of challenging live cell experiments in fields ranging from neuroscience and embryology to virtually any discipline in the life sciences.

Key features

  • Enhanced speed motorized component parts are controlled through a central hub
  • Nikons patented PFS specimen focus is locked in and maintained by continuous optical feedback technology
  • Unique external phase contrast unit the sharpest phase images can be achieved by utilizing non-phase, high N.A. objectives
  • Flexible expandable space stratum structure allows for two layers of motorised fluorescence, simultaneous fluorescence and laser tweezers, additional back port for dual camera configurations
  • Motorized TIRF essential for multichannel time-lapse experiments
