The family of highspeed com-servers for network integration of serial devices from Wiesemann & Theis now boasts the addition of a model with optical 100BaseFX network terminal. In addition to the compared with copper wire transmission very long possible cable length of up to 2,000 m, optical network couplings also offer the advantage of virtually unlimited galvanic isolation.
