VRmagic introduces a compact, programmable intelligent camera

The new intelligent component from VRmagic is a high-performance camera featuring a combination of ARM processor, DSP and an optional FPGA module. Deployed is the DaVinci processor by Texas Instruments. The camera operates autonomously with a Linux operating system. Developers can transfer their own algorithms to the DSP conveniently by means of a cross-compiler. The component is equipped with 128 MB RAM and a 128 MB flash module. The supported interfaces include Ethernet, USB 2.0 Host and General Purpose I/O, as well as optionally CAN Bus and PROFIBUS. The size of the camera, which is only 46 x 46 x 54 mm with housing, makes it particularly interesting for OEM applications.
