OTC-DAIHEN EUROPE GmbH first installed the RapidProtect^® 300 MP in 2003 in robot welding cells to enhance the manufacturing process and protect the operators. When the RapidProtect^® 300 MP door is open the operator can insert material into the welding cell or remove the welded parts from the machine. The integration of the RapidProtect^® 300 MP’s control system into the manufacturing process decreases the risk of accidentally injury from the welding robot.

By replacing the light curtains with the RapidProtect^® 300 MP machine protection doors, the safety zone around the each robot was reduced, therefore decreasing the overall size of the robot welding cell. The size difference reduces overall cost of each welding cell and makes it easier to integrate into existing production facilities.
