Enhanced Beam Steering

Physik Instrumente (PI) has added two more versions of its Piezo Scanners with larger angular ranges to the S-330, high-dynamics, tip/tilt platform series: over all, the S-330 versions now cover maximum tip/tilt angles from 2 to 10 mrad. Very high resonant frequencies of over 3 kHz allow for fast scanning motion. The dynamic performance for both orthogonal tilt axes is identical, because of the symmetrical stage design. Position-controlled systems achieve high stability and resolutions of 0.05 µrad. The new E-616 multi-axis control electronics system was developed especially for piezoelectric tip/tilt mirrors.
