Gateways and protocol converters
Anybus X-gateways connect two industrial networks. Typical applications are installations with mixed usage of Beckhoff and Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider PLCs.
The X-gateways are intelligent stand-alone devices for use in harsh industrial environments. The gateways are based upon two Anybus communication modules, which exchange data between the two networks via an intelligent software implemented in the gateway.
The Anybus-X product family consists of more then 180 gateway versions. The following networks are supported: Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, CANopen, CC-Link, Interbus, Lonworks, AS-Interface, EtherCAT, Modbus-TCP, Modbus-Plus, Modbus-RTU, FIPIO.
The Anybus Communicator is a protocol converter that connects devices via their serial interface with fieldbus or industrial Ethernet networks. The communicator functions as a slave in the network and as a master at the serial interface to the field device. Typical applications are the connection of field devices with serial interface via fieldbus or industrial Ethernet to a PLC. Anybus Communicators are available for Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, CANopen, CC-Link, EtherCAT, Modbus-TCP, Modbus-Plus, Modbus-RTU, FIPIO, and Interbus.
