Embedded slave modules

The product family Anybus-S consists of ready-to-use communication modules for automation devices. The modules function as slaves and are available for several networks.

Every Anybus-S module conducts its specific fieldbus or industrial Ethernet protocol autonomous and independently from the automation device. All Anybus-S modules have a standardized parallel interface (2 KB Dual Port RAM) to the device electronics. Data transfer between the microprocessor of the automation device and the Anybus-S module is carried out via an 8 bit wide data bus. The modules need a 5 V power supply.

Anybus-S communication modules are available for the fieldbusses Profibus, DeviceNet, ControlNet, CC-Link, Lonworks, Modbus-Plus, Modbus-RTU, CANopen, Interbus, FIPIO, and for the industrial Ethernet protocols EtherNet/IP, Modbus-TCP, Profinet, and EtherCAT.
