Nitrogen Evaporator Barkey "flowtherm optocontrol"

In many cases sample preparation for HPLC-, GC-, MS- or NMR-analysis includes evaporation steps.

The Barkey "flowtherm optocontrol" sample preparation unit enables the automated evaporation of liquid samples. Equipped with an optoelectronic sensor system, each of up to 8 channels automatically switches off the gas flow as soon as a predefined residual sample volume is reached.

This avoids frequent supervision of the system to prevent drying of the sample and therefore the results are more exact, reliable and reproducible compared to conventional evaporators. In addition, the system is designed for continuous operation, allowing sample processing overnight which saves manpower and increases the sample throughput for more efficient and economic laboratory work.
