In terms of displays, the world of command and control - applications such as traffic monitoring, process control, energy and telecommunications - has historically been dominated by rear projection cubes. However, LCD technology is rapidly gaining a foothold thanks to its attractive size and weight and its compelling price/performance. A company at the forefront of bringing LCD technology to demanding applications is eyevis, who are showcasing the EYE-LCD5600QHD at ISE.
With a screen diagonal of 56" and resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, eyevis says that the EYE-LCD5600QHD is ideal for applications that require highly detailed images to be viewable - applications such as design, professional graphics, healthcare, architecture, meteorology and military/defence. It can accept either two or four DVI inputs, and features VESA mounting for ease of installation. According to the company, contrast ratio is high, response time fast and the screen delivers a very wide viewing angle.
