Metrohm Ion Chromatography (IC) is IC from the technology leader. The 850 Professional IC from Metrohm is the first professional Ion Chromatography system with intelligent system components, the result of twenty years of innovation and creative solutions to the field of IC.

• Intelligent IC – iPump, iDetector, iColumn, iDosing Units with automatic recognition through the intelligent MagIC Net™ software.

• iColumns – automatic recognition of the column that knows already its optimal eluent, flow rate and the maximum pressure to safeguard the column. The serial number, date set to work and number of injections are all stored on the chip and can be transferred from one instrument to another. 
• iDetector – Digital Signal Processing with a 0 – 15000µS/cm single range, example chromatograms are stored on the detector chip for software validation and training.

The Professional Sample Processor can handle any volume from 0.5 to 500mls through the use of customised sample racks
• Warranty – ten years on the suppressor and three years on the instrument hardware ensure low running costs in addition to the reasonable purchase price. Typical consumable costs for an automated instrument are £900 per annum.
  

The 850 Professional IC and 858 Professional Sample Processor are Swiss engineered and Swiss made. The system is an extremely compact design with all the flexibility of a modular system that can be expanded or upgraded at any point as analytical requirements change. The IC and Sample Processor shown occupy a footprint of only 64cm width on the bench.

The flow path of the 850 Professional IC is metal free and biocompatible requires no corrosive eluents or pressurised gases, the eluent (and sample) are degassed automatically inline.
