Determination of artemisinin in Artemisia annua leaf by HPTLC

Artemisinin is an antimalarial substance obtained from dried leafs of Artemisia annual. To monitor the plant during growth, determine time of harvest, or evaluate the commercial value of plant material, the artemisinin content in the raw material has to be determined.
