MCD EPOS - a highly dynamic, maintenance-free positioning drive

maxon's compact drives feature controllers, sensors and motors in a modern aluminium casing. The new MCD EPOS is a highly dynamic, maintenance-free positioning drive with a fieldbus connection and a maximum 60 watt output. It combines a brushless maxon EC motor, a digital encoder MR and a fully digital EPOS positioning controller. Cost-savings have been made thanks to the careful optimisation of components, creating an unrivalled and competitively priced drive that works out slightly cheaper than the price of the individual parts. Lower assembly costs mean further cost-savings. The cleverly designed controller-motor combination has produced a maintenance-free and highly dynamic positioning drive that has excellent functionality and is extremely efficient.
