Use the cooled 2048 x 2048 pixels not to miss any detail...

The cooled digital pco.2000 camera system has excellent features for applications, which require high resolution and high performance at low light situations. Especially at weak light situations the cooled 2048 x 2048 pixels with their 14bit dynamic are perfectly suited.

The new approach with the primary image memory (camRAM ub to 4GB) being integrated into the camera enables new operation modes, like ring buffer recording. If the exact moment of a dynamic experiment is not known in advance, the camera simply is operated in ring buffer mode. When the event occurs the recording is stopped and the pre-history and the event are still present in the camRAM.

Like all members of the pco.camera family the pco.2000 has two pixel clocks to operate the camera either at lowest readout noise (10 e- @ 10MHz) or at the highest frame rate (15.6 fps @ 40MHz). The camera is connected to the PC via standards interfaces (IEEE1394, camera link and from Q4/2007 with GigE Vision) and it is available with color image sensor as well.
