FLIR Systems, global leader in infrared cameras, adds a new model of ThermaCAMTM handheld infrared camera to its successful P-series range. The ThermaCAM P50F

FLIR Systems ThermaCAM P-series cameras are powerful handheld thermal imaging systems, equipped with features such as a visual camera and a detachable LCD screen with remote control. They are designed for a wide range of inspection and monitoring applications in many business sectors.

The new ThermaCAM P50 F has been designed to inspect the inside of high temperature industrial furnaces, heaters, and boilers while they are in operation and to see through the flames and inspect the condition of the inside and the boiler tubes. Its crisp thermal images and accurate temperature measurements reveal typical problems such as coking, scaling, and slag build-up. Providing temperature reading across an entire surface area instead of just at a few single points, it enables a faster inspection in critical or potentially hazardous environments.

As it features the latest in uncooled microbolometer sensor technology, the camera is ready for use in less than one minute; with no cool down time needed, workers have less wait time standing next to extremely hot heaters.

Custom-built to see through flames, it is equipped with a detachable heat shield which reflects the heat away from the camera and camera operator. The thermal camera measures temperatures from +300ºC to +1500 °C with an internal narrow band pass filter at 3.9µm and detects temperature differences as small as 0.6°C.

The new ThermaCAM P-series model comes in 2version. The ThermaCAM P50F and a basic model without LCD display with remote control buttons, the ThermaCAM P25F. Its product package includes the ThermaCAM QuickView software for basic post-analysis capabilities of the captured infrared images and the creation of simple reports in PDF format, a heat shield, batteries and battery charger, power supply, video cable, USB cable, memory card and a durable protector carrying case.
