Nexperion presents its soft­ware Sentinel, designed to solve a major issue in elec­tron microscopy: Downtime of instruments.

Running as a background service, it of­fers an integrated solution to constantly monitor the mi­croscope’s critical subsys­tems, its environment, and peripherals. In case of prob­lems, it provides numerous ways to alert systems supervisors, locally and remotely. Furthermore, the software provides log­ging of these parameters over long periods of time, allowing anticipatory action and a deeper understanding in retrospect of how issues have evolved.

The tool comes with a graphical user interface for straightforward configuration and is com­patible with transmission electron microscopes from major manufacturers.
