Basic GPC/SEC-System - robust, inexpensive, easy to use

Modern size exclusion chromatography systems are equipped with sophisticated light scattering and viscosity detection but still the most installed GPC-systems need only one single detector.

These basic or conventional GPC-systems have a single concentration detector, namely a refractive index (RI) or a UV detector Especially in quality assurance, but also in polymer science, is the comparison of the product to the last batch often sufficient and the exact determination of the true molecular weight or structural properties of the polymer not needed.

The basic GPC –system from Viscotek deals with a big variety of organic and aqueous mobile phases. It is suitable for almost all applications starting from synthetic polymers, biopolymers and polysaccharides up to proteins.

The basic GPC-system has a straight forward designed and is therefore robust, inexpensive and easy to use. With the Viscotek system starting off in GPC/SEC is possible with less than 20.000 €. The system can be upgraded at any time with further detectors.
