Online Fluorescence Measurements for Process Analysis

The BioView sensor from DELTA is a 2D (two dimensional) fluorescence spectro-meter designed for process analysis of various chemical and biotechnological processes in industrial environments. 2D fluorescence spectra are measured in the UV/VIS wavelength range from 260–600 nm. The fluorescence signals from different molecules provide vital information about the process. This makes it possible to observe e.g. nutritional consumption and product formation. Measurements of a single 2D fluorescence spectrum take down to a minute, enabling direct monitoring as well as actual control of the process. The sensor has been developed based on demands for industrial processes. The result is a stand-alone unit, which requires only negligible maintenance.
