Rescue Trains

Rescue trains are special escape and rescue shelters mounted on railway cars and used by the fire fighters of the railway companies during fire and emergency especially in tunnels.

They are manufactured as standard or special size ISO containers which are mounted on flat railway cars. They mainly consist of a shelter room providing accomodation for up to 70 persons for max. 4 hours. Thus a safe transfer e.g. from a smoke filled tunnel is possible. During the transfer breathing air is supplied from a high pressure storage mounted on the rescue train.

Additional fire fighters equipment e.g. breathing air compressor, telecom systems and firefighters breathing apparatus complete the customized arrangement of the rescue trains.
