Small, robust and maintenance-free for two years

The new Dräger Pac 3000 single-gas personal detector monitors the ambient air and alerts the user to harmful concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide or oxygen. The instrument is maintenance-free for two years, during which time the sensor does not need to be replaced. It is covered with a tough rubber housing and meets the requirements of IP 65.

Easy to use and featuring new sensor technology

The two-button operation of the instrument is self-explanatory, and an infrared interface makes configuration and calibration easy. In an alarm situation, the large backlit status display shows the actual concentration during an alarm and the alarm type. The new Dräger XXS sensors offer extremely short electrochemical reaction times and diffusion paths, and respond in the blink of an eye, displaying any gas hazard immediately.

Bump test mode for the function test

The instrument comes with a so-called bump test mode for the purposes of function testing. Testing can be performed manually or automatically. If a bump test is needed, the user will be reminded to the fact on the display. The test frequency (in days) can be adjusted by the user, and a bump test station is available.

Adjustable operating period and a variety of alarm functions

The user can set an individual operating period (in days), e.g. for "calibration due date", "inspection due date" or a special "out of order date". The instrument is equipped with an audible and visual alarm, as well as a vibration alarm. To ensure that the alarm does not go unnoticed, a two-tone alarm is used. In addition, the instrument warns the user before the end of its useful life and before the battery runs out, and points the user to any malfunctions. Depending on how the instrument is configured, the pre- or main alarm can be acknowledged. For calibration and individual configuration of all functions, the Pac 3000 is connected to a PC using the connecting cradle or the E-Cal calibration station.
