Hepatitis B Surface Antigen Vaccine

GE Healthcare has announced the availability of the Butyl-S Sepharose 6 Fast Flow, a hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) medium designed for purification or removal of highly hydrophobic proteins applied in the industrial-scale purification of recombinant Hepatitis B surface antigen vaccine. In addition to being utilized in the production of the Hepatitis B vaccine, Butyl-S Sepharose 6 Fast Flow can be used in the development or manufacture of other recombinant viral vaccines or virus-like particles or (VLP's), as well as in the removal of strongly hydrophobic biomolecules from feedstocks.
