JUMO PEKA application-oriented EHEDG-compliant sensor adapter system
JUMO GmbH & Co. KG, Fulda, Germany, has developed a new adapter system that joins sensor components to process connections.
Nearly all the available sensing devices, such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters etc. can be supplied with this system, which offers significant advantages for the user.
In the machinery and plant manufacturing industries you can find a wide variety of different measuring tasks and fitting requirements. The variety of customer-specific versions that must be produced is just as large.
The new JUMO PEKA adapter system now makes it possible to produce the sensors to stock, regardless of the process connection to be applied later.
They can thus be rapidly completed and made ready for delivery in the shortest possible time. The design enables assembly to be performed so that the sensor is oriented in any direction required.
The front-flush seal that is built into the adapter system can be supplied in various materials, such as FPM, EPDM or silicone. Dismantling (e.g. for recalibration) does not destroy the seal, which can therefore be used a number of times.
The connection between JUMO PEKA and the process connection has been tested by the Technical University of Weihenstephan in accordance with the EHEDG guidelines for use in installations, and is therefore highly suitable for applications in machinery and plant that have to fulfill hygienic requirements. CIP or SIP cleaning presents no problems. Examples of appropriate sectors are the pharmaceutical, food, and biotechnology industries.
Additional requirements for equipment in these special applications, such as materials, IP protection rating and enhanced temperatures are, of course, fulfilled.
Various process connections are available to suit different requirements, such as Varivent, milk cone, clamp and welding flanges. So it is possible to install the devices in a very wide range of locations.
