X-ray Microanalysis Improvements

Thermo Electron Corporation announced the expansion of its X-ray microanalysis product line with the addition of new instrumentation and software showcased at Microscopy and Microanalysis 2004 in Savannah, Georgia, August 1-5. The products introduce significant advancements for analytical methods and dramatically improved lab productivity. Booth 330 will feature the company's new UltraDry silicon drift detector, a Liquid Nitrogen(LN)-free solution for high-throughput Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) applications. Combining ultra high-count rate, high-resolution performance associated with silicon drift technologies and high sensitivity for light element detection, it provides vibration-free operation for cost-effective no-LN operation.
