There are various ways to connect thermoplastic tubes in a sterile manner. One of the most efficient and economical is the ReeWelder 3. Today's biotechnological processes increasingly make use of one-way containers. In order to make sterile connections to these, thermoplastic hoses with an outside diameter of up to 3/4" (19.1 mm), which enable interfaces to other process systems to be created, are frequently available. The ReeWelder 3 places an improved version of the ReeWelder II on to the market, making it possible to greatly reduce process times and unit costs. Meeting the requirements of today's processes was achieved on the one hand by attending to design, size and weight factors, and on the other through customer record-keeping in respect of critical parameters together with optimised opportunities to validate the unit.
