The Successful DISOMAT® B plus

Almost three years after the launch of their DISOMAT® B plus weighing terminal, Schenck Process present a variant suited for use in the hazardous area.

A host of extra features for most demanding explosion hazard applications

Can a successful system be further improved with little planning and installation effort?

The DISOMAT® B plus weighing terminal for the hazardous area testifies to it.

For use in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX Zones 1, 2, 21, 22), its functionality has been adapted to the successful base model in quasi full extent. This eases system planning, service, and maintenance.

The field of application includes simple displaying scales as well as sophisticated automatic filling scales equipped with interface extensions for analog output, fieldbus connection, binary inputs/outputs as well as serial inputs/outputs, available from 2004 onward. The system can be supplied with 24 V DC or 115/230 V AC via power units mounted in the hazardous area, or outside in the safe area. A battery mode is offered as alternative.

Further advantages and cost savings result from reduced cabling and the fact that no mounting space is required in the safe area. When all is said and done, a concept that pays off. Thanks to the novel DISOMAT® B plus weighing terminal, upgrade/automation of old mechanical scales for use in the hazardous area is much easier and cheaper to realise.
DISOMAT® B plus Overview
  • Applications: Platform, hopper and crane scales, road weighbridges, automatic filling stations
  • Easy Operation: Clear, easily understood structures, large-size, easy-to-read LC display and optional separate keyboard enable efficient operation free from strains. When using the system in calibration certified applications, the user particularly benefits from the integral legal-for-trade data memory replacing the additional tally-tape printer more often than not.
  • Convenient Configuration: Additional attraction: thanks to DISOPLAN, the system function can be adapted easily and quickly using the graphical operator environment.
