Electronics for UV-Sensitive High-end CCDs

tec5's (Oberursel, FRG) family of Operating Electronics for detector array based spectrometers is being extended with preamplifier electronics for the series S-703x of UV sensitive Charge Coupled Device (CCD) Photosensors from Hamamatsu. The advantage of this CCD technology is the extreme light sensitivity from UV up to NIR. In addition the series S-701x of front-illuminated sensors are supported. This opens new applications, which could not be realized with diode arrays, because of the low light level. Examples are fluorescence and diffuse reflexion measurements or very fast and high-resolution techniques.
