The airport subsidiary company Flughafen Hamburg GmbH is an IT service provider, specialised in airport services. As a central offerer of server, network and data base administration as well as comprehensive services such as computer centre equipment and attached services, the Airsys and its clients need the unrestricted availability of communication and process control systems. Without this functioning infrastructure neither flights are dispatched, nor luggage transported nor passengers checked. In addition, other ranges like the park and traffic control systems, for example, depend on a functioning computing centre.
As a subsidiary company of the Hamburg Airport, Airsys is literally at home at the airport. Since October, 01 2003 Airsys acts as an independent company, a full range IT service provider dedicated to make the airport business effective. Airport handling is the center of their activities.
