SIMATIC VS 720 Series

The cameras of the Simatic VS 720 series from Siemens can be employed flexibly. Ultimately, the inspection task decides the application of the optical sensor. And this is determined by the type of configuration. The following inspection tasks can be configured: OCR analysis, pattern search and reading of 1D, 2D as well as PDF 417 codes. The component visualization is performed via the VGA interface at the VS Link (which enables the connection of up to 16 sensors), while the communication runs via Profibus or Ethernet. The objective is attached via a CS-mount or C-mount (adapter). This universal image processing system offers a solution for any requirement: from low-cost entry-level model, versions for rapid object detection and complex inspection programs up to models for high-resolution and high-precision measuring tasks, color detection and very fast inspection checks.
