Lucid's Atlas 10 camera offers 10GigE bandwidth with Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) for optimized image transfer. It reliably transfers 1.2GB/s of data directly to main memory, bypassing the CPU and OS. This increases throughput, lowers latency and eliminates CPU usage. RDMA allows data to be transferred between devices on a network without CPU involvement on a packet basis. Network adapters with RDMA enable data transfer directly to memory, bypassing the operating system and avoiding unnecessary data copies (zero-copy functionality) and reducing CPU overhead.
