The Computar-Lensconnect technology enables precise remote control of - depending on the lens model - zoom, focus and iris. The standard connection to the PC is via USB interface, but a connection via the I2C interface is also possible. For control purposes, CBC provides free software that enables the lenses or stepper motors to be controlled. For integration into existing software solutions, the company provides the SDK. The lenses were all designed with a floating mechanism. This provides higher resolution and performance compared to existing remotely controllable lenses.
