Special Fire Detector

The new Config over Line feature means special fire detectors can be addressed directly from the fire alarm control panel instead of on-site from a laptop, as used to be the case. This makes configuring and maintaining devices radically easier. Data exchange between the special fire detector and fire alarm control panel is achieved by means of tunneling technology, which uses the existing Securiline Extended addressable loop.

As a consequence, no additional wiring is needed for the remote control facility. Virtual point-to-point connections within the addressable loop are shielded from the rest of the data traffic and link each detector individually and directly with the control panel. A free software update gets everything up and running.
