RCT Reichelt Chemietechnik offers a range of PCTFE plates – semi-finished products that have a shore hardness A between 75° and 80° and a density of approx. 2.2 g/cm3. PCTFE (polychlorotrifluoroethylene), is a hard, in a wide range exceptionally temperature-resistant plastic.
It belongs to the thermoplastics. It can be permanently used between -255 °C (temperature of liquefied hydrogen) and +150 °C, for short periods even up to +200 °C. The uncolored, opaque material, the hardness of which is not reached by any other fluoroplastic, is amorphous. The plastic features extremely low gas permeability and is flame-resistant even in pure oxygen. Moreover, it is very dimensionally stable and tends hardly noteworthy to flow even under strong pressure load.
