Minimax: UniVario Impulse Air Flushing device

In dry and powder-filled areas, small particles often soil the optics and reflectors of optical fire detectors. An Impulse Air Flushing device prevents these contaminants permanently on UniVario industrial fire detectors. The Air Purge Unit attached to the UniVario flame detector is connected to an Impulse Air Unit.

Using a timed solenoid valve, the Air Purge Unit is regularly supplied with short, relatively high pressure air blasts by the Impulse Air Unit. Compared to Air Flushings, that continuously deploy compressed air, the cleaning effectiveness is improved and the compressed air consumption is significantly reduced, resulting in cost savings. Manifolds supply up to 4 Air Purge Units with only one Impulse Air Unit.
