Pre-Certified Safety Chip

The Hima Safety-System-on-Chip provides a security system whose chip has already been certified by the TÜV Rheinland to SIL 3 (IEC 61508). The HICore includes the middleware and consultation and support services during the TÜV approval process and complete certification up to the development of a customer-specific board.

The chip thereby provides the basis for applications that require proof of functional security for security-critical applications. The architecture of the chip is based on a redundant 1oo2D design. This ensures that the integrated communications subsystem works independently and without affecting other components.
