Lab in your palm – Handheld FTIR-spectrometer

The TruDefender FTX is a portable, user-friendly FTIR-spectrometer from analyticon instruments in Rosbach, Germany. Its small and easy-to-handle design enables a fast and non-destructive on-site analysis in warehouses, labs, during production, etc.

The results are readable in a matter of seconds, thus simplifying industrial processes and speeding up decisions. The spectrometer identifies unambiguously different chemicals and mixtures, incl. explosives, narcotics, toxic or dark substances.

The instrument is extremely robust. It works at temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +40 °C; it is shock- and waterproof and even complies with the strictest US military standards.

A clear spectra display with zooming, scaling, superposition and modification can be done directly in the handheld instrument.
