Devices for measuring and monitoring flow rates are used in many areas of the process industry. In these applications, durability and reliability are essential to protect machinery and equipment and to achieve optimal process results. Frequently, the operating conditions and the flow media being monitored, place additional high demands on the measurement technique. For 30 years, Meister Strömungstechnik continues to be a reliable partner to the process industry. Through close collaboration with its customers, Meister develops and manufactures products that are specifically tailored to the needs of the process industry.
In order to ensure process safety and achieve the highest possible quality results, it is necessary to identify relevant process parameters and to monitor them continuously. In addition to temperature and pressure, the flow rate is included in these important parameters. Meister Strömungstechnik has optimized the DHGF- and DIGA- series of flow sensors, specifically for the needs of the process industry.
The sensors, operating on the impeller principle, detect with high accuracy, the continuous flow through the device and produce a flow-dependent signal that can be used by the operator for process monitoring and control. Depending on the series, either a pulse signal (DHGF) or a 4 – 20 mA signal (DIGA) is generated. Due to its compact design and minimal size, the device can be installed in a space saving manner in machines or systems.
The process connection is either threaded or hose connected. The selection of materials contributes to the high demands of the application area and ensures a high chemical resistance against a wide variety of flow media. Depending on the version, housing and impellers are made of POM or ECTFE; for axles and bearings, Corepoint, sapphire, ruby or ceramic are used.
The flow sensors are available in various measuring ranges from 1.5 – 100 l/h to 50 – 1000 l/h.
