Ultra-flat SMD terminal block with 4.4 mm mounting height

W+P PRODUCTS is unveiling a new, ultra-flat SMD terminal block with a mounting height of just 4.4 mm. Thanks to its overall compact dimensions of 7.90 x 11.70 x 4.40 mm (L x W x H, two contact version), it opens up exciting new prospects for connecting the power supplies of LED modules and industrial electronics assemblies in a way that saves even more space.

The SMD terminal blocks also convince with their excellent mechanical stability: large soldering areas mean sturdy and reliable connections.

Equipped with screw-free clamp connection technology, the new SMD terminal blocks series 5253 accept stranded and solid wires with conductor cross-sections of between 0.2 and 0.75 mm2 (AWG 24 to AWG 18). Solid wires can be connected directly - stranded wires are conveniently connected using the integrated push actuator, saving time.

The new terminal blocks are available with 1, 2 and 3 contacts in a 4 mm pitch and can be grouped in any number of contacts without losses. This allows a variety of contact numbers as well as a simplified storage.

The contact material is made of tin-plated copper alloy, the insulators consist of high temperature thermoplastic according to UL94 V-0. They are designed for a dielectric strength of 320 VAC and a rated current of up to 9 A. Soldering capability is guaranteed compliant with IEC 60512-12A. Reliable function is assured within a temperature range from -35 °C to +105 °C.
