The Symax is used for the metering of fluids in the micro litre and nano litre range. Applications include the metering of adhesives, decanting of micro volumes, applying of reactants, injection of samples in analytical and clinical chemistry, etc.

The main elements of the pump are the stepper motor drive, the precision carriage, and the replaceable syringe. The stepper motor is connected directly without gears to the drive spindle, which reduces the mechanical play between the drive and the syringe to a minimum. This results in a direct relationship between the input pulse signal and liquid output.

Thanks to the high resolution of 25 600 steps per revolution, the motion of the individual steps is virtually undetectable.

The delivery range lies between 2 nano litres and 44 ml per minute, depending on the size and diameter of the syringe used.

The Symax is available with a dual stroke option. This means that two syringes are mounted in opposing directions. While one of the syringes is emptied, the other one is simultaneously refilled. Switching between the syringes is performed by a 3-way valve.

The pump can be used autonomously with a foot switch or integrated into a system.
