Solaris, which was recently developed by Wyatt, is a UV-device for the sterilization of aqueous solutions in chromatography. It is placed directly on the solvent reservoir and protects all components of your chromatographic system as well as HPLC and light scattering instruments from contamination by algae, bacteria, and funghi. It supersedes the use of Sodium-Azide and eliminates the danger to handle toxic chemicals. The device protects your system from down-time due to contamination. With its built-in 0.2 ?m pre-filter it keeps the solution free of biological pathogens. Moreover, it prevents the contamination with particles from the laboratory environment. Solaris works at a temperature of 4 to 80 °C and is certified by German TÜV.
