Phosphor-Imager by Biostep

Phosphor-Imagers by Biostep are nominated in the category B Biotechnology and Life Sciences for the G.I.T. InnovationsAward 2012.
The GxP conform acquisition of radioactively labeled samples in sizes up to 350 x 500 mm (theoretical 350 mm x ?) by image plate scanners (phosphor imagers) could not be realized until now. Biostep's systems CR35bio and HD-CR35bio are able to detect tiny, medium and very big samples (gels, blots, whole-body profiles, TLC, leaves, slides) in high resolution (up to 12.5 µm pixel size) and with very high sensitivity. The systems can be used for various applications like isotopes (e.g. H-3, C-14, P-32, P-33, I-125, F-18), and different radiations like X-rays and UV radiation amongst others. The image plates are reusable 1,000 times. This saves waste and costs.
