The World’s Smallest Thermal Imaging Camera for firefighting and rescue operations, monitoring of industrial manufacturing processes…

With its very small and lightweight modules, the TAMARISK™320 redefines the compact class of thermal cameras, making it the ideal solution for applications constrained by little size, for stand-alone thermal imaging systems (also with weather-proof enclosures) as well as for quality assurance, temperature control and process monitoring.

The first 320 x 240 VOx microbolometer of its kind, it combines industry leading 17 µm pixel pitch technology with DRS Technologies’ patented advanced absorber superstructure to provide greater sensitivity (NETD < 50 mK, spectral response 8 – 12 µm) and superior image quality (25 Hz frame rate). 9 Hz export version optionally available.

Regardless of lighting and temperature conditions, the camera produces crystal clear imagery during day, night, and through smoke, dust, haze and fog (operating temperature: -40°C to +67°C ; detection range of up to 1 km in total darkness).
USB2.0 / RS232 communication interfaces supporting a variety of system features for analog PAL video output or 14-bit/8-bit digital CameraLink® LVDS.

The TAMARISK™320 is available with a choice of lens configurations (7.5 mm/F1.2, 11 mm/ F1.2, 21 mm/F1.2 or 35 mm/F1.2) and ideally suited for applications such as:

  • Firefighting and rescue operations
  • Monitoring of industrial manufacturing processes
  • Security and military applications
  • UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and robotics
  • Machine vision and process control
