Balluff BIS series RFID systems for extremely harsh environments feature a large variety of rugged data carrier and read/write head models with high enclosure ratings to solve virtually any application problem, whether in material flow monitoring, computer-assisted assembly or control and quality assurance in flexible production lines. Newly added to the Balluff line are high temperature rated data carriers for the BIS M system (13.56 MHz), which do their job even at 200° C. Typical applications include paint or coating equipment with drying zones and production lines with high temperature areas.
These compact data carriers just 40 mm x 22 mm x 6.5 mm in size have a memory capacity of 112 bytes and are child’s play to install. Designed to ISO 15693, they offer the user great hardware flexibility and high data reliability. Compatible read/write heads are available from Balluff in many different form factors.
Reading and writing generally takes place outside the high temperature zone, at temperatures up to 70° C. The tag itself is inactive in the high temperature zone, so that the stored data are retained for an unlimited time.
