Honeywell launched Vertex M, a cost-effective and flexible toxic gas monitoring device designed to deliver 824 points of detection. The device is optimized for use in a variety of locations, providing the capability to deliver physical evidence of a gas release, using the companys Chemcassette. With a small and flexible design, which provides 824 points of detection, it also offers a comprehensive communications platform (Lonworks, Devicenet, Controlnet, Modbus Plus, DF1 and 420mA compliant), making this device suited to both standalone use, and integration into an existing system. Vertex M offers all the same benefits as the original Vertex model but comes in a smaller format, said Steve Forrest, Strategic Marketing Leader (EMEAI) for the company. The instrument has the capability to monitor over 40 toxic gases down to ppb levels (parts per billion). It also offers flexible configuration options and allows for the integration of one to three Chemcassette monitors or one Chemcassette and one pyrolyser unit.
