Surfaces for Tissue Culture Flasks

BD Biosciences BD PureCoat surfaces are now also available on tissue culture flasks with 75 cm2 and 175 cm2 culture area. Both BD Purecoat amine (positively charged), and BD Purecoat Carboxyl (negatively charged) support attachment and growth of a variety of cell types. In particular, BD Purecoat amine is useful for culturing neural cells, neural stem cells, and mesenchymal stem cells. Very good freeze-thaw recovery of cryporeserved cells is another important feature of the new surface chemistries.
