The most important innovation to the HEUFT squeezer QS is its servo-controlled belt drive. It applies a precisely controlled amount of pressure to the containers which pass through freely, in the same way as the manually adjustable belts in the proven HEUFT squeezer QA, in order to identify leaks using a comparative fill level meas-urement in a compressed and non-compressed condition. However its height and passage width as well as the position of the measuring bridges is not adjusted manually but fully automatically.
The result: the adjusting range for inspecting larger containers has been extended and misadjustments during a brand change due to operating errors have been completely eliminated. A push of a button is all it takes and the servo-controlled belt drive adapts itself to the changed container shape inde-pendently.
The pressure sensor of the new leakage check is always in line with the belts. This increases the precision of the inspection performance. A mechanical support re-duces the flexible deformation of the belt drive and increases its stability. The auto-matic belt lubrication is another important contributing factor as regards the durability of the HEUFT squeezer QS.
The device itself ensures that it is always provided with sufficient food compatible grease in freely configurable intervals. This results in a drastic reduction to the amount of maintenance required. Additional lubricating and cooling of the contact strips reduces the wear and tear of the device to a minimum.
The HEUFT development team has optimised tried and tested technologies for checking the tightness of plastic packages with lasting effect with the new features of the HEUFT squeezer QS. This avoids operating errors as well as saving valuable time and human resources during the filling process and final inspection of plastic containers.
