Ion Trap and Orbitrap Mass Spectrometers

The LTQ Velos, an ion trap mass spectrometer, features a new dual pressure trap design and API source. The dual pressure trap technology allows the decoupling of ion manipulation and detection. This results in optimal pressures during analysis, increasing both scan speed and resolution. The LTQ Velos can be upgraded to the LTQ Orbitrap Velos, which combines the orbitrap mass analyzer, a new Higher-Energy Collisional Dissociation (HCD) cell and dual pressure trap technology to deliver ultra-high resolution and accurate mass data.
