Reliable power supply units without frills

Wieland Electric has extended its power supply product range with the single-phase series wipos P1. The AC/DC converters are suitable for DIN rail mount inside control cabinets and are primarily used in mechanical engineering and process technology. The series comprises various modules from 1.25 to 20 A; due to their automatic and wide input voltage range they are suitable for use worldwide. The robust 24 VDC power supply units operate in temperature ranges between -25 and 71 °C as well as under extreme environmental conditions.

The switch-mode power supplies concentrate on major features such as: full output power at operating temperatures up to 60 °C; PFC technology; long power buffering time > 30 ms; settable output voltage; active monitoring with switching output and LED diagnostics for easy start-up. The power supply units can be daisy-chained; from 5 A they can also be switched in parallel for power increase and redundancy. The units are connected using sufficiently dimensioned screw terminals. The devices are sustained short circuit proof and are protected against excess temperatures. They are characterized by a high reliability and an attractive price/performance ratio. Approvals according to CE and UL are available.
