A typical feature of Heinen fluidised bed systems are the high-performance filter cartridges integrated in the dryer’s hood, separating and recycling the fine dust particles produced during the process. Keeping the fines back inside the filters and recycling them is a decisive advantage, mainly for high-value or critical products. No material disappears with the exhaust air, nor pollutes the ambient air. The filters are directly cleaned via cleaning nozzles integrated in the dryer’s hood. The filter types (stainless steel, PTFE or PP) are selected in accordance with process
and product
It goes without saying that all the advantages of a continuous multi-step process in one system are retained and contribute to a reproducible product quality and an efficient operation.

Removable Nozzles in the Continuous Fluid Bed System
During the process of agglomeration or spray granulation, a liquid is injected into the fluidized bed product layer by means of several nozzles. Until now the temporary risk of a connection between both zones could not be avoided from the moment of removing the nozzle until the moment when the nozzle pick-up closes.
The special feature of the new nozzle is that it prevents a connection between the inside and outside of the process chamber when the nozzle is removed. This is due to a shut-off device in the area of the nozzle pick-up. The advantage is the absence of any contact between an explosion zone 20 inside the system and an explosion-free area outside.
In fluidized bed processes running with contaminated or dangerous products, no material can leave the system.
Furthermore, the danger of product contamination from the outside to the inside of the process chamber is averted when running food products.
The system described has already proven itself under operating conditions.
This device is patent pending.
